NEW YORK & PARIS, June, 28, 2010 – Translations.com, the world’s largest privately held provider of language services and translation-related technologies, today announced an ongoing engagement with Voyages-sncf.com, the leading online travel agency in France, and its European online booking site, TGV-europe.com.
In December 2009, Voyages-sncf.com engaged Translations.com to localize www.tgv-europe.com into five languages: German, Spanish, English, Dutch, and Italian. To streamline internal workflow and project management processes, Voyages-sncf.com is deploying Translations.com’s GlobalLink® Product Suite. GlobalLink technology allows companies to manage and track the entire translation process within a secure, easy-to-use environment on the web. Under the terms of the contract, Translations.com will also handle the ongoing maintenance for the site’s translations, as the content will be updated frequently.
Isabelle Duval, Head of Europe at Voyages-sncf.com, states: “As the specialist website for high speed train travel in Europe, we strive to offer to our customers value-added services adapted to the local marketplace. Translations.com’s expertise in the tourism industry is a strong asset that will help us further develop our web services and communicate our brand message all over Europe.”
Translations.com CEO Phil Shawe added, “By providing their booking site, TGV-europe.com, in several languages, Voyages-sncf.com has expanded the appeal and accessibility of high speed trains to European travelers and tourists alike. We look forward to a successful ongoing relationship.”
