Global Video Campaign Showcases Perseverance and Passion of Athletes and their Families
NEW YORK, March 5, 2014 - TransPerfect, the world’s largest privately held provider of language services and translation-related technologies, today announced that it was once again selected by The ZiZo Group, Inc. to support the translation and localization of an online video campaign for a leading Olympic advertiser. After successfully partnering with The ZiZo Group two years ago for the Summer Olympics in London, TransPerfect was tapped to support the second installment of the series.
The ZiZo Group is a world leader in creating, distributing, and marketing original content for major brands and media companies for online and mobile platforms. The company produced a total of 19 episodes, which are now airing on the Yahoo Screen channel “Raising an Olympian” (http://screen.yahoo.com/raising-an-olympian/). The series filmed in 14 different countries and was completed in less than four months.
TransPerfect collaborated and consulted with The ZiZo Group from the planning stage through completion of the project, providing the following:
- Translation of the interview questions for the athletes and their mothers in 11 languages, eight of which were newly added to the series
- Language interpretation services during the live, on-location interviews around the world
- Translation and drafting of complete video scripts for multilingual videos
- Translation and localization of the post-production video subtitling, enabling international viewers to view and understand the videos

TransPerfect handled translation and localization of content from English into Austrian, Dutch, Flemish, French, Italian, Korean, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Swedish, and German. A TransPerfect language specialist was also on-site at the shoot locations to translate the in-language interviews with the Olympic athletes and the moms.
The stories shared by the athletes and their moms became the centerpiece of each video, tying all 19 episodes together with reflections on the dedication and support each Olympic competitor has benefitted from on the long road to Sochi.
