TransPerfect, a privately held provider of language services and translation-related technologies, announced that it played a successful role in the launch of an online video campaign for an Olympic advertiser.
According to a release, working with The ZiZo Group and Yahoo!, TransPerfect provided language translation and localization services for the videos in 10 different languages. The ZiZo Group is a provider of marketing original content for brands and media companies for online and mobile platforms.
The ZiZo Group produced a total of 21 episodes, which are now airing on the Yahoo! channel 'Team Mom,' the search engine's women's lifestyle content feed, across 11 countries. TransPerfect collaborated and consulted with The ZiZo Group from the planning stage through completion of the project, driving: -Translation of the interview questions for the Olympians and their mothers in eight languages -Language interpretation services during the live, on-location interviews around the world -Translation and drafting of complete video scripts for multilingual videos -Translation and localization of the post-production video subtitling, enabling international viewers to view and understand the videos 'The video series show that moms of the world's elite athletes share the same universal experiences across all languages and cultures,' said Gabriel Reiter, producer with The ZiZo Group. 'The language translation experts at TransPerfect eased the process of creating multilingual video materials as part of our campaign, serving as a key partner by helping our production team meet aggressive shooting schedules across the globe.' Roger Fishman, president of The ZiZo Group, added, 'TransPerfect and Yahoo! were amazing partners and it was a real pleasure to work on this world class project.' TransPerfect handled translation and localization of content from English into French, German, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish, and two Indian languages. A TransPerfect language specialist was also on-site at the shoot locations to translate the in-language interviews with the Olympic athletes and the moms. The stories shared by the moms of the athletes became the centerpiece of each video, tying all 21 episodes together with reflections on the dedication and support each Olympic competitor has gained on the long road to London.
'We're proud that companies like The ZiZo Group rely on TransPerfect to help with the creation of social media content that appeals to an international audience,' said Liz Elting, president and Co-CEO of TransPerfect. 'This translation project demonstrates that regardless of language preference, people around the world are interested in learning about the athletes and their families.'
