With the addition of this location, TransPerfect expands its global footprint to 36 cities in the Americas and to 61 cities worldwide.
With a metro population of just over 21 million, Mexico City is the largest city in Latin America and is considered one of the most important trade hubs in the world. Mexico was ranked the 2nd strongest economy in Latin America and the 14th strongest in the world, according to the IMF in 2009. Reports indicate that Mexico's economy could grow as much as 5% in 2010.
The new office will enable TransPerfect to provide a local point of contact to existing clients and prospects throughout the country, and will serve as a regional base for much of its Latin American activities.
